The Effectiveness of Grammarly Application to Teach Students Writing in Procedure text of Eleventh grade students of SMKN 1 Jenis Year Academic 2021/2022
The aims of this research are: 1) To determine the students' Writing ability before being taught Using the grammarty pplication in Studying writing. 2) To find Out students' writing skills after being taught to using the rammarly application in Studying writing. 3) To find out the difference in students? Writing abilities before and after being taught using the grammarly application in Studying writing.
Research methods: 1) This research design is pre-experimental using a quantitative @pproach. 2) The research Population was all 11th grade students of SMKN 1 JETIS which consisted of 532 students. 3) The research sample is all students of class X1 TPL 2 which consists of 35 students. 4) The instrument of this research is a test. $) The data analysis technique used is T-test.
The results of this study indicate that the number of writing scores obtained by students before being taught using the grammarly application is 11.2. Meanwhile, the total writing score obtained after being taught using the grammarly application was 15.8. The result of the calculated T-score is 15.00, while the Ttable with a significance level of 5% is 2.028. So, the T-score is greater than the T-table.
. This proves that Ha (alternative hypothesis) which states that there is a difference in writing scores between before and after being taught using the grammarty application to class XI TPL 2 SMKN 1 JET IS students is accepted. In other words, the grammarly enplication is effective to teach writing to students at the level of SMKN 1 JETIS.
